Making a Difference
The Kantilal J. Patel Charitable Trust is currently working on good projects in Gujarat and other parts of India:
- to establish dental health care facilities in inaccessible, economically backward, tribal and rural communities.
- to establish better equipped primary health care centers.
- to help create affordable/low cost housing for communities affected/displaced by natural disasters.
- helping to start primary/secondary schools in rural areas.
- helping to create facilities to provide emergency medical care to children they could not get otherwise
- providing necessary assistance for the general well being of the disadvantaged people.
Changing Lives
The Kantilal J. Patel Charitable Trust recently helped a girl from the Tribal Areas of Gujarat. This girl was deaf from birth and diagnosed with peripheral hearing loss. The suggested treatment was Cochlear Implants. Few doctors provide this treatment, and the cost was exorbitant for her parents. It would have been difficult for her parents to afford 5-12 Lakhs (550,000 – 1.2 million rupee) the cost of the operation and treatment. The Kantilal J. Patel Charitable rust was able to provide the cochlear implant for her. The procedure was performed at the Civil Hospital in Gujarat, Ahmedabad by Dr. Vishwakarma on April 1, 2010.
The surgical procedure was a complete success. With six months of speech therapy she will lead a normal life. Without treatment, she would have been deaf and dumb and would have spent her life in an institution. This is just one example of the timely help The Kantilal J. Patel Charitable Trust can provide. With your help, there could be millions of lives that are changed for the better. These are the kinds of people that The Kantilal J. Patel Charitable Trust is committed to finding and helping.
Doing Good Work
The Kantilal J. Patel Charitable Trust is committed to the principle that we can help people who cannot otherwise help themselves. By creating healthcare opportunities for people in developing countries, we are able to make changes happen in a community that would otherwise take several generations to occur.
Our work is focused on health care, but that can take several different forms, depending on what a community needs. Your help can help establish a school, affordable housing, or a health care facility. Your generous donation can dramatically affect the lives of countless people around the globe.
The Kantilal J. Patel Charitable Trust has initiated the necessary procedures to establish a world-class Oral Rehabilitation Center for the benefit of the tribal and rural communities of the Dang District in Gujarat. The facility is being planned and built in Ahwa, Dang, Gujarat. It will be followed by a Primary Health Care Center, Blood Bank, and Cancer Research Center.
