VAD clinic located next to the hospital building was inaugurated at the auspicious hands of Mr. NL Pujara, District Development Officer (DDO) on December 18, 2015. Dr. Ashok Patel, director of Richard Condorelli Memorial Foundation and founding trustee of KJP Charitable Trust, orchestrated the ceremony. Several invited guests, local residents of Ahwa, and government officers, and elected officers of local bodies and participants of Nova Southeastern University (NSU), Florida, USA, attended the ceremony and visited the new clinic with all modern equipment and amenities.
The clinic is invaluable to Vanbandhu Arogya Dham while the healthcare facility is being completed. The clinic makes it possible to receive and treat patients in a modern setting with all equipment necessary to provide comprehensive healthcare. Currently, local doctors trained and licensed to practice in India treat patients using the clinic facility. VAD’s School Health Program and Medical Outreach Program are conducted from the clinic. All schoolchildren and other patients attended in the clinic are properly documented, and their physical as well as digital records are maintained for possible future research projects. Every day thorough medical examination, dental evaluation, and sickle cell anemia screening approximately 20 school children is carried out using the various facilities of the clinic.
